ABOUT US
The Student Chapter is the student body representing all healthcare faculties and students in Singapore. We are a subsidiary of the Medical Alumni Association, which was founded in 1923 by the medical graduates of the King Edward VII College of Medicine (now known as the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine). Today, it is uniquely the oldest alumni association with medical, dental, pharmacy and nursing graduates from both Singapore and Malaysia.
PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
Welcome to the Medical Alumni Association Student Chapter, home of all healthcare students. I am excited to walk alongside you in your student years and living them to the fullest with our peers.
The past year has been a tumultuous one. We faced major disruptions in our lives; the Student Chapter was not spared either. Yet, we forged on and ultimately brought you many successful student-led initiatives that were nonetheless enriching in these uncertain times. The accomplishments were only achieved through the hard work of our past committee members and project directors who navigated rough waters together with our partners. In the past year, we built up an entirely new educational branch known as the Academia, and hosted our first ever hybrid Inter Healthcare Camp with the support of our long-time partner SingHealth.
As Singapore transits into an 'endemic' mode, we can look forward to more events being held over the next year. It is to this end that I call for my fellow peers to step up and chart your own unique journey here. I look forward to welcoming each and every one of you onboard with us as we write an exciting new year together here at the Student Chapter.
